Endemol launches German Icon outpost on digital and linear

The network is launching the online lifestyle network abroad under the banner FLiP through a partnership with Viacom.

Multi-platform network Endemol Beyond USA is launching the online lifestyle network Icon in the German market — in both digital and linear formats — under the banner FLiP.

Through a partnership with Viacom International Media Networks in Germany and fashion retail brand ASOS, the local version will launch on YouTube, and a televised spin-off named FLiP – Powered by ICON – will premiere on Nicknight today Feb. 19.

The TV version marks Icon’s first TV adaptation since the Michelle Phan-led online lifestyle network went live in the last March. It has since been adapted locally in 16 markets, including the U.K. and Signapore.

The TV show will feature content broadcast on the FLiP YouTube channel from German market influencers, as well as content seen on the Nicknight YouTube channel, in addition to exclusive original content.
