MoMedia signals growth with new business development director

The U.K.-based digital distribution company has hired former Antenna Group exec Nelly Voukaki to secure more brand partners, build out revenue lines.

Digital content distributor MoMedia has grown its executive ranks after bringing on board Nelly Voukaki in the newly created role of business development director.

Voukaki comes to the U.K.-based company following a career that spans senior strategic, marketing and business development roles across free-to-air, pay TV and new media channels.

She spent the last nine years in various senior roles at the Antenna Group media co, including leading the company’s pay TV division in Europe. More recently, she served as head of Antenna’s business development and project management for its digital and thematic channels division.

Reporting to Lucas Bertrand, MoMedia CEO, Voukaki is responsible for securing new brand partners and building out lines of revenue.

Bertrand, in a statement, said Voukaki’s experience will “play an important role in our strategic growth plans.”

With financial backing from capital investment firm ESRG and Endemol Shine, MoMedia distributes documentaries, kids TV programming and localized Hollywood content across global and local VOD platforms, including iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, Hulu and Amazon.

Its client list includes DreamWorks Classics, Hasbro Studios and Zinkia Entertainment, for which it distributes kids brands such as Transformers: Rescue Bots, G.I. Joe: Renegades, Postman Pat, Noddy, Tinga Tinga Tales and Pocoyo.  

The company was founded in 2013 by Bertrand and a team of veterans from Sky, BBC, Channel 5, Warner, NBCU and Endemol.
