Pack your overnight bags: Do Not Distburb, a new YouTube series hosted by comedian Taryn Southern, premiered Nov. 12.
In this branded series for Moxy Hotels, Marriott International’s boutique hotel chain was created by Marriott’s in-house content studio. It’s hosted by Southern, who has more than 400,000 followers on YouTube. Over the course of the series, she’ll host a slumber party in a mock-up of a Moxy Hotel room (constructed in the YouTube Space L.A.) and share gossip and scandalous stories with fellow influencers, including Brittany Furlan, Flula and Mamrie Hart (Hart, known for her boozy YouTube channel You Deserve a Drink, shares her secrets on how to cure a hangover with Southern).
Do Not Disturb, which will consist of eight episodes, will air weekly on Moxy’s official web site and its YouTube channel. Future guests include YouTubers Sawyer Hartman, Bart Baker, Timothy DeLaGhetto and Lisa Schwartz.
This campaign is to promote the opening of ten new Moxy Hotels throughout the U.S. in 2016.
Marriott has created a number of branded video campaigns in order to connect with millennial travelers since launching its in-house content studio in 2014. It has also teamed up with YouTube musician Sam Tsui to shoot a music video in one of its hotels, hired on Grace Helbig to appear in a series of digital promotional shorts and most recently hired Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto to appear in the sequel to its 2015 digital short Two Bellmen.
