Hulu has ordered a 13-episode third season of the supernatural comedy Deadbeat from Lionsgate Television. The premiere date will be announced at a later time.

The half-hour series stars Tyler Labine (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Reaper) as Kevin Pacalioglu, a hapless medium who attempts to solve ghosts’ unresolved problems so they can move on to a final resting place.

Deadbeat was co-created by Cody Heller and Brett Konner (WilfredThe Inbetweeners). It is executive produced by showrunner Dan Lagana and produced by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Sarah Esberg, all three of whom are execs at Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.

At Hulu’s NewFront presentation last month, the streaming service showcased a slate of new programming that includes the Lionsgate comedy series Casual from Oscar-nominated director Jason Reitman; the first long-form project from Freddie Wong and the RocketJump team; the Stephen King miniseries adaptation 11/22/63, produced by J.J. Abrams and starring James Franco; the comedy series Difficult People, produced by Amy Poehler and starring Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner; and The Way, a drama series from Universal Television and Jason Katims’ True Jack Productions. It also announced it would bring Seinfeld to streaming for the first time, in a deal reportedly worth $160 million.

Earlier this month, Hulu ordered a 26-episode season four of The Mindy Project, which had been canceled by Fox.
