With more than 6,000 one-minute audio installments of the popular syndicated series, The Ongoing History of New Music with Alan Cross has now launched on YouTube, offering new 60-second animated clips that aim to take music fans on a visual storytelling experience behind the industry’s rich history.
The videos profile musicians, deliver behind-the-scenes footage and tackle topics from “Who coined the term Grunge?” to the “Longest-Lasting Rock Bands,” according to Corus Entertainment, the Canadian broadcaster behind the country’s longest-running radio documentary series.
Fans who subscribe to the channel will get all the latest videos as new content is released on a weekly basis.
“With so many years of incredible stories, The Ongoing History of New Music on YouTube gives fans a new destination to discover, connect and share on the music and artists they love,” said Alan Cross in a statement.
The syndicated radio series, The Ongoing History of New Music, will continue to be heard on Toronto’s 102.1 the Edge (CFNY-FM).
