YouTuber Lilly Singh launches mobile app with Victorious

The Santa Monica-based start-up has helped create apps for influencers such as The Young Turks and Jenna Marbles.

Lilly Singh, better known to her millions of followers as IISuperwomanII, has released a free mobile app for iOS and Android devices through a collaboration with Santa Monica-based start-up Victorious.

The release coincides with the kickoff of Singh’s world tour, “A Trip to Unicorn Island.”

The app, Unicorn Island, will provide highlights from her tour, exclusive content and social networking tools for fans to connect with one another.

Singh currently boasts more than 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube and her world tour, which kicked off May 19 in Mumbai, includes 17 performances across Asia and Europe.

Victorious is a mobile platform specializing in content creation and distribution for online influencers and has helped produce apps for the likes of The Young Turks, Jenna Marbles and Michelle Phan. Its executive team includes Dean Gilbert, former YouTube VP, global head of content and operations, acting as executive chairman.

Their apps mostly center around additional content and social interaction for fans.

The release of Singh’s app was announced on her social media channels on May 18.
