Machinima grows its sales force

AOL's Jessica DeBiase Stevens and Tremor Video's Michael Colarossi join the gaming-focused media co to help brands connect with millennials.

Fandom and gaming culture channel and content producer Machinima has added two new sales directors to its New York office.

Former AOL video account director Jessica DeBiase Stevens (pictured) and ex-Tremor Video vertical team lead Michael Colarossi have been recruited as directors, partner development, and will report to Machinima chief revenue officer Jamie Weissenborn.

DeBiase Stevens, who was responsible for creating multi-screen digital video, content creation and syndication deals for AOL clients AT&T, Discover, Delta and Miller Coors, also spent five years as a senior account executive at multi-screen digital video network YuMe. Her résumé includes stints at the PopSci Media Group, Hearst and Condé Nast.

Colarossi’s career milestones include heading a sales team of three at Tremor Video to annual sales of $21 million, and a run as VP of the client-direct sales team at Boston-based ad tech company Owner IQ. He’s also a former SVP of sales for Walmart.com, spending nine years at Walmart Digital.

Clients he’s previously recruited include Coca-Cola, Garmin, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly Clark, Mars, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Verizon and many more.

“Michael and Jessica have a track record of helping brands connect with millennials through authentic video storytelling,” said Weissenborn in a statement. “Their talents will help Machinima continue to set the standard for successful co-productions that benefit both our brand partners and massive fandom / gamer audience.”

As of February 2015, Machinima had more than 430 million subscribers, 170 million monthly unique viewers and 3.7 billion monthly video views.
