Gaming-centric multi-channel network Machinima announced on Tuesday that it has hired Jamie Weissenborn as chief revenue officer.

Weissenborn will be responsible for all aspects of Machinima‘s direct sales efforts, including brand integrations and premium advertising inventory sales for the MCN’s talent network and original programming across all platforms. He will also guide Machinima’s sales, solutions and packaging teams.

Weissenborn comes to Machinima from urban entertainment channel BlackTreeTV, where he was the interim CEO. While there, he helped grow the channel into a complete media company, with licensing, TV production and content syndication. He remains an investor/advisor for BlackTree and Hispanic online automotive publisher Autoproyecto.com.

Prior to BlackTree, Weissenborn served as SVP of online video and content strategy at digital advisory company MediaLink, where his clients included Maker Studios, Zefr, Vevo and Machinima.

Earlier, he did a nearly 9-year stint as SVP of digital media and global advertising sales at Sony Pictures Television.
