Record producer and DJ Paul Oakenfold is partnering with LineRocket Entertainment, Newrow_ and Amplive on Solo, an interactive online series showcasing top EDM artists.
Oakenfold will curate the 52-episode series, which will feature live streams of EDM artists performing at the Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles. He will also handle Solo’s launch event on Friday night at YouTube’s headquarters at the Sundance Film Festival, presented in partnership with The Collective Experience. The opening act will be Jason Heffler (aka “Heff”).
“Solo will be the ideal platform for fans to directly interact with their favorite artists and also for corporate brands to directly interact with millennials through streaming media,” said Josh Heffler, CEO and founder of LineRocket Entertainment, in a statement.
The Solo live stream will allow viewers to digitally interact with stars in real time via webcam, texts and Twitter using Newrow_, a multi-streaming and collaboration technology used by learning institutions, corporate training programs, brands and governments.
