Multi-platform network DanceOn announced on Wednesday that it will debut new episodes of its docu-series The Edge exclusively through Samsung’s Milk Video service before they’re released on YouTube and Danceon.com.
For the season 2 premiere episode of The Edge featuring Sia, Samsung will have the exclusive for 7 days prior to its worldwide release on Jan. 21. For future episodes, Samsung will have a 2-week exclusive.
The Edge takes viewers behind the scenes with music stars on their videos, concerts tours and performances. New episodes this year will feature Meghan Trainor and Ne-Yo, among others.
Launched in November 2014, Milk Video is a personalized video discovery service for Samsung mobile devices that collects and shares the most popular online videos. It features some original content, such as comedy series from Funny or Die.
Madonna is a partner in DanceOn, which was launched as part of YouTube’s original channels initiative in 2011. Other co-founders of the niche network include CEO Amanda Taylor, Guy Oseary and Machinima co-founder Allen DeBevoise.
