TV and movie streaming service Popcornflix is rolling out its Popcornflix app on Xbox One for users in the U.S. and Canada. The VOD service has also launched a feature that lets viewers choose Popcornflix Kids, its kid-friendly portal, directly from the main screen.

With the new portal, parents can ensure kids can access only age-appropriate content from the streaming service on Xbox One. Kid-friendly programming includes classics like Big Comfy Couch and Popeye, as well as seasonal programs such as The Nutcracker.

Popcornflix is an ad-supported platform that is available on Xbox 360, Roku, Google TV, Android, iOS, online and on Smart TVs from Samsung and Panasonic.

The VOD service is part of the New York-based Screen Media Ventures, a global independant motion picture distribution company. Its channels include Popcornflix, FrightPix, Popcornflix Kids and PopcornFlix Comedy.
