Fox orders series based on FailArmy YouTube channel

Tentatively titled World's Funniest Fails, the one-hour series debuts in January in the 8 p.m. slot before Glee.

Fox has announced on Thursday that it has ordered a one-hour series based on the Jukin Media YouTube channel FailArmy with the working title World’s Funniest Fails. It will debut on Fri., Jan. 16, in the 8 p.m. slot preceding Glee.

The show will feature a panel of comedians analyzing the week’s hottest breaking online videos, with the goal of awarding one with the ultimate “Fail of the Week.”

Founded in 2009, Jukin Media acquires, distributes and licenses viral videos. Last month, the company announced it had raised $1.2 million to act as a “cash cushion” to help it move more aggressively on new technology and original content initiatives.
