Kendall Rhodes on plans for Untitled’s new digital prodco

As the management company's roster of web talent expands, a new division aims to bring them new creative opportunities.

Talent management company Untitled Entertainment is launching a digital production division that will introduce digital content creators and personalities into the Hollywood film and TV world — and vice versa.

“If they want to make 3 features a year, 2 TV shows, write a book, travel the world vlogging, start a line of clothing, launch a new app, and shoot 100 collabs at YouTube Space, I am going to support that.”

“Some digital creators have some great shows that would be better served on traditional television or as a feature film. Some traditional film and TV talent have shows that are better served on digital platforms,” explains manager and producer Kendall Rhodes, who was tapped by Untitled to head the new unit.

“We will help our talents’ shows to attract the best financiers and distribution partners for the content,” she tells StreamDaily via email.

Rhodes (pictured) comes to Untitled from Relativity where she served as SVP of digital content and programming for 6 years. She spearheaded influencer campaigns for Relativity’s films including PrankvsPrank’s stunt inspired by Movie 43; Freddie Wong’s outing to, and live chat about, Limitless; and Annoying Orange’s video for Mirror Mirror.

She executive produced several digital series including Girl’s Guide with Michelle Phan, and she recently wrapped the movie Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin.

Untitled Entertainment represents Hollywood stars (Natalie Dormer, Elizabeth Banks) but the company has an expanding roster of YouTube and web talent such as Lisa Schwartz (Lisbug), Adande Thorne (Swoozie), the team at Wong Fu, and Kandee Johnson.

“I want to make sure the talent we represent are happy and moving forward at all times,” Rhodes says, about her new role, which was announced last week. “If they want to make 3 features a year, 2 TV shows, write a book, travel the world vlogging, start a line of clothing, launch a new app, and shoot 100 collabs at YouTube Space, I am going to support that,” she says.

Content produced by the new production unit will be “platform agnostic” and span genres and categories. It may include long and short-form digital content, scripted, unscripted, or animated.

Before Relativity, Rhodes was a feature film producer and co-founder of Cherry Road Films with a development deal at Warner Independent Pictures. Her credits include Southland Tales starring Dwayne Johnson and Justin Timberlake, and The Hunting Party starring Richard Gere and Jesse Eisenberg.
