Jim Louderback exits Discovery Digital Networks

As GM, Louderback was in charge of Revision3 and Animalist networks. His successor has been appointed.

jimlouderbackJim Louderback is leaving his post as GM of Discovery Digital Networks.

The former CEO of Revision3, who saw the digital platform integrate into Discovery Communications’ portfolio, says he “got the itch” to take some time off after 7 years in a leadership role.

“I’m writing a book for first time CEOs, detailing all the dumb things I did as a way to help them avoid making the same mistakes,” Louderback (pictured right) writes in a personal blog post announcing his departure.

A Discovery spokesperson confirms the departure and says Colin Decker, group operating officer, Discovery Digital Networks, will be taking over as lead. The division produces and distributes original web programming for networks, (pictured),,, and

Louderback was CEO of Revision3, a tech-focused web video platform that streams popular shows like Tekzilla and Rev3Games, from 2007 to 2012. After Discovery bought the platform in 2012 for a reported $30 million, Louderback was hired as GM to lead the integration and oversee expansion of the company’s web-video portfolio.
