AOL puts new execs in charge of Originals, AOL Studios

Nate Hayden is appointed VP of Originals and Naomi Yasuda is now senior director of AOL Studios as Gabriel Lewis exits the company.

AOL announced some shuffling in its Originals team on Friday.

Gabriel Lewis, who served as head of AOL Originals and AOL Studios, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Now, Nate Hayden has been appointed vice president of Originals, leading content creation and original programming. Hayden will oversee AOL’s Original series strategy, which includes shows such as the Emmy-nominated Park Bench with Steve Buscemi (pictured), #CandidlyNicole, and Tiffany Shlain’s The Future Starts Here.

Prior to joining AOL, Hayden was VP of development at FremantleMedia, where he was in charge of cable development. He has also worked as a producer and director at MTV Networks and Mark Burnett Productions.

AOL also announced that Naomi Yasuda has been appointed senior director of AOL Studios to lead daily operations.

Both Hayden and Yasuda will be based in Los Angeles.
