Paula Deen Network sets launch date, sub price

The Southern-fried celebrity chef's digital portal bows Sept. 24, but fans who pre-register can get a heaping helping of perks.

Celebrity chef Paula Deen now has an official launch date for her interactive digital lifestyle portal. The Georgia native, who lost her Food Network show last year in the wake of controversy about her use of a racial slur, announced on Tuesday that she will premiere the Paula Deen Network on Sept. 24.

Subscriptions prices will range from $7.99 per month for a 12-month commitment to $9.99 per month for a month-to-month membership.

Deen also announced an array of perks for customers who pre-register for the network at this month, including 40% discounts on purchases at, sneak peeks at new shows and recipes and an invitation to the Paula Deen Launch Event in Savannah, GA.

The Paula Deen Network will be accessible via computers, smartphones and tables.  All memberships include a 14-day free trial.
