Race enthusiasts can now get their Tour de France fix online on Pluto.TV’s Cycling Channel (#315), featuring shows about the race’s most well-known riders, as well as up-and-comers.
New content will be posted each day through the end of the race on July 27.
Pluto.TV pulls clips of cycling-focused video content from platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo, and edits them together into episodes with unified story arcs. Some of that content has run previously on news networks and other broadcast programs, such as the Global Cycling Network, which Pluto.TV clears copyrights for.
Based in Los Angeles, Pluto.TV features more than 100 TV-like channels that viewers can scroll through to watch curated — and scheduled — clips of video. It is available for free at their website or via iOS and Android apps for tablets and smart phones. Content partners include Funny or Die, QVC, Refinery29, RocketJump, The Young Turks and IconicTV (Jay Z’s Life+Times).
