Amazon Studios will debut a dramatic comedy created by Super Troopers director Jay Chandrasekhar with its third pilot season, set to launch later this year, the company announced Friday.

Called Really, the half-hour pilot from Main Street Films is written and directed by Chandrasekhar (pictured left), who will also star in the format, and executive produced by Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings). The show is described as a study of the emotional complexities of marriage and charged dynamics of a tight-knit group of friends living in suburban Chicago. The pilot also stars Selma Blair (Anger Management), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), and Travis Schuldt (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Amazon customers can watch the episode and give feedback on whether they would like to see the show turned into a full series on Prime Instant Video. Other pilots that Really is up against are half-hour comedy The Cosmopolitans and one-hour drama Hand of God.
