Endemol UK launches multiplatform game show prodco

The division will work with specialist online gaming hub Endemol Games to develop multiplatform content around game show formats.

Endemol UK announced on Wednesday that it is launching Remarkable Games, a production arm specializing in game show formats.

Headed by creative director James Fox, formerly the head of entertainment for Remarkable Television, the division will work with Endemol UK’s commercial and digital teams, including specialist online gaming hub Endemol Games, to develop multiplatform content around game show formats. Recent successes for Endemol Games have included Pointless – Quiz with Friends, currently ranked as the number one iPhone app in its category, and The Million Pound Drop app, which has become Channel 4’s most successful program app with over 2.7 million downloads to date.

Renarkable Games as has also been commissioned to work on adaptations of ITV’s Ejector Seat (pictured), which premiered in April, and BBC2’s forthcoming Two Tribes.

Remarkable Television’s entertainment credits include Supersize vs. Superskinny, Deal or No Deal, Secret Eaters and Bodyshockers – all for Channel 4 – and BBC2’s The House that 100K Built.
