Global media and technology company Popsugar announced Wednesday that it has named David Neyman the head of creative partnerships and video development for Popsugar Studios – its unit that develops, produces, and distributes Popsugar-branded digital video, television and film.
Popsugar Studios produces entertainment, fashion, beauty, food, health and fitness programming for both the digital and traditional TV spaces, including such online programs like Popsugar Daily and We Spy Style as well as the recently launched daily television show on TVGN, Popsugar Now.
Neyman comes to Popsugar after spending nearly four years as the head of Spin Productions at SpinMedia (formerly known as Buzzmedia), where he developed and produced brand marketing video campaigns for clients including Microsoft, KIA, Levi’s and T-Mobile with such talent as Pharrell Williams, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Alabama Shakes and Boyz II Men.
Earlier, Neyman was a manager at Impression Talent, where his duties included developing clothing, jewellery, book and overall branding deals for clients, as well as coordinating their digital and social networking strategies.
Popsugar is a privately-held company funded by Sequoia Capital and Institutional Venture Partners with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and London. Targeting women age 18 to 40, it attracts more than 21 million users worldwide, generating 50 million live and on-demand video views per month and half a billion in annual retail revenue.
