Veria Living, a multi-platform media company dedicated to lifestyle and wellness programming, is launching a 70-episode original digital series Monday called Health Soup.
Produced by Veria Living and Two Rivers Pictures (Good Food America), Health Soup‘s first episode, hosted on Veria.com, is called “Leonardo DiCaprio’s Eco-Friendly Toilet?” The site has about 3.1 million unique visitors per month.
Regular segments will include “Veria on the Street” and “Wellness Virgin” featuring comedian David Z. Price (pictured), who will tackle unconventional types of wellness from acupuncture to bellydancing. Other segments include “Need to Know” and “Well Aware” in which entertainment and lifestyle reporter Ereka Vetrini (In the Loop with iVillage) explores the latest health and wellness crazes, as well as “United States of Yoga,” hosted by fitness instructor and New York Giants yoga coach Gwen Lawrence.
Headquartered in New York, Veria Living was founded by Subhash Chandra, chairman of the worldwide Essel Group of companies, which includes Zee Entertainment Enterprises (reaching 750 million global viewers across 169 countries). The Veria TV network reaches 50 million households in the U.S.
