Women’s health magazine SELF this morning announced the launch of a new video channel that’s debuting with four original series about keeping fit.
The launch is yet another example of publisher Condé Nast Entertainment’s (CNE), five-year plan to build a strong online video business, which Fred Santarpia, executive vice president and chief digital officer at CNE, spoke to StreamDaily about in a recent interview.
SELF”s video channel marks the first such launch in 2014 for CNE and the eighth in CNE’s overall digital video network.
New series include Girl vs. Sweat, (pictured) where comedians take on the latest fitness trends; 5 Ways To, which provides tips for effective workout moves; Burn 100, which gives instructions for bite-size workouts from top trainers; and Which Is Worse…, an animated series of quizzy, shareable videos based on SELF’s most popular editorial features.
“The SELF digital channel puts a new spin on exercise and nutrition suited for all fitness levels, including those just getting started,” said Dawn Ostroff, president, Condé Nast Entertainment, in a release. “Providing premium entertainment and attracting new audiences is our goal as we continue to grow CNE’s digital network.”
