Lofthouse expected to “crush it” in new Discovery Digital Networks role

As SVP programming, Tom Lofthouse will manage and oversee development for networks such as Revision3, TestTube and Animalist.

Discovery Communications is promoting Tom Lofthouse to SVP of programming, Discovery Digital Networks.

Lofthouse, who was previously VP of programming and production, will manage the San Francisco-based networks within the digital division: Revision3, TestTube and Animalist. He will also oversee program development and affiliate relations for the entire Discovery Digital Networks portfolio, which also includes The DeFranco Network and SourceFed.

Jim Louderback, GM of Discovery Digital Networks, credits Lofthouse for being instrumental to the strong launches of TestTube and DNews. “I know he’ll continue to crush it in this new role,” Louderback says.

Lofthouse holds more than 10 years of digital media experience. Prior to joining Discovery, he worked at Current TV, Disney, Extreme Sports Channel, and is one of the original founders for School of Humans branded entertainment.
